Idalia has dedicated a great part of her career to working with women who are depressed or victims of domestic violence. She is certified in traumatology (using the EMDR technique), Ericksonian hypnosis and transpersonal psychology. She has worked as associate professor of feminine psychology and domestic violence at Carlos Albizu University in Florida and as consultant for the P.R. government offering courses on domestic violence issues and assisting in creating legislature to protect victims.
